Wastewater

My Guiding Principles

UV has become a critical pillar of many wastewater treatment processes to disinfect effluent without adding disinfection byproducts. Including classic, recent and current articles on integrating with the overall treatment process, case studies, process improvements, innovative applications, efficacy of UV under different circumstances; consequences of using UV, methodologies of testing and operating WW UV, special considerations and rules in different communities. I welcome vendor links to installation guidance, white papers, training manuals, case studies in digital control.

Dr. Amina Stoddart is an assistant professor in Dalhousie University’s department of civil and resource engineering and researcher at the Centre for Water Resources Studies. Her research team is leading a project aimed at detecting the presence of the virus that causes COVID-19 in human wastewater, helping to identify the potential presence of the virus quickly and before it can spread.
